There's not much you can do atm, but maybe if you have a really good computer, you wouldn't have that problem. Other than that, you might try lowering settings.
Okay, I've made a walkthrough video of this magnificent game on my low end laptop, there's some bugs and "very hurt" lags and stuttering for those who already luckily played the game with very good performance, in that video, I can't reach more than 35 FPS, it's occasionally dropped to 19-24 FPS even worse, so check it out.
Hello. I tried playing the game but after I choose my aircraft and clicked "Launch", after the loading screen, a message box shows up saying "The UE4-Project Wingman has crashed and will..." with the words "fatal error" below, with just a black screen and it goes back to desktop. The game is crashing everytime I get to play and I tried everything to solve but nothing. What should I do?? I want play this demo so bad and you guys deserve the support. Please I need help.
My specs: NIVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti, Intel Core i5-7400 CPU @ 3.00 GHz, 8,00 RAM.
This game is awesome, captures the feel of Pre-AH Ace Combat nicely! A bit of feedback from me though:
1) Support for Track IR would be nice. Though it's mostly to tie me down until I get a Vive.
2) Since we get an absurd amount of missiles and bombs, how about infinite or increased ammo for the guns? I get the most satisfaction using those to chase down enemy fighters, but I find myself running out of ammo for it too soon.
3) Will we see an emblem creator? It'd be cool to stick custom markings and paint jobs on our jets.
The gameplay is great, the graphics are gorgeous and the soundtrack fits the game very well . The story sounds alot like a mix of both Ace Combat: Skies of Deception and Joint Assault, so im super hyped. Also good job on the solid keyboard and mouse controls dev.
Really really love the game. It feels so good even on mouse and keyboard. It runs amazing even though I don't have a monster rig. My one critique is to get the sound of missile launch a little more visceral. I know it may not be realistic, but I felt that launching a missile should have more of an effect. Other than that really amazing game.
Really nice. The desert mission really made me feel like playing an AC game but not 100% the same which is of course good. I like that it feels a bit different. As other people said "slower" which seems fitting in a good way.

A little suggestion from my side:
I have seen it in many flight games that whenever you down a larger aircraft being it a transporter or a huge air fortress gunship. that they crash into the ground and boom - gone. Isn't it possible to at least add tiny low poly debris pieces and a scorch mark texture to the ground with emitting smoke particles? It would make the battlefield feel alive after a large battle. I noticed it especially on the desert map when the gunship exploded in such a cool way just to go poof and gone into the ground without a trace. I think planes this size should leave a bit of a mark and performance impact should be minimal if you leave this effect to large gunships only.
Hey, love the trailer and the whole aspect of the game. If you could add some wider platform support (Apple Please?) That would be amazing. Can't wait to see this become a full game!

This game is pretty good in overall gameplay and graphic, the scenery is good at high altitude but in low altitude need a lil bit of work tho (is a high altitude fight tho, so who cares), the cockpit palceholder need a bit of improvement in the instrument sector, etc, but the HUD is pretty sick XD..
The control is pretty clunky for keyboard+mouse but at some time its pretty fine. And just spotted some sound laggy issues in a game after a short gameplay, the sound fx is still playing even i pausing the game or alt+tab it.
and I dont know if this a performance issue or what but why my FPS is locked at 27-30fps only, even when in another game i could play it in butter smooth..
owh owh, and the weather (raindrop effect) on cockpit glass is frikin sexy ..
The game keeps getting better and better with every updated version. I can't put into words how exhilarating the desert mission was to hear all the comms chatter while diving into the fray. Getting "Ace Combat Zero" Feels all over again! For the love don't stop developing this! I don't want to see another game disappear into obscurity like "Vectored Thrust" did.
This shit is really good. I really like the slightly slower(compared to AC) flight model and the plane selection. It's a "best of" compilation of 4th gen aircraft and that's exactly what you'd think mercenaries and smaller airforces would be using.
You don't start off fighting Mig-21s in an F-5, the game goes straight to the good stuff. I only wish it were a bit more challenging.
Just keeps getting better and better. V.0.4.0 Things I love: The new explosion sounds. The explosions sounds now make the game feel more visceral. The only thing that could make them better is if you added sounds of metal on metal when you fly though an explosion. We always fly through explosions in flight combat sims but real life fighter pilots know that potential lethal for their planes I think you should implement it. Thing I loved the most: The perfection you made of the aircraft reticle. It now tracks properly and is very realistic. And now actually shows you where the aircraft is projected to fly so if you crash into a mountain or graze the ground its your own fault. Love it, I feel like its made my fly with much more confidence. Another thing I noticed was that you added a low altitude warning that is actually helpful. Too often is there this tiny little message on screen and a tiny little proximity indicator. The one you use is great. It actually warns me when Im about to kill myself. More things I like, the 3 mission updates. I love them you, see the targets on the ground and you cant hit them until you knock out these defenses first. Thats great! It has a good flow to it that seems familiar and new at the same time. I think you should make Hard mode HARDER. Mercenary needs to have SAM sites ripple fire. Since in real life they can fire 6 missiles rapidly. AA sites need to never stop shooting at you. Let the tracers rounds scare the crap out of you. And hell why not make low altitude flying come with greater risks ? Making the AA guns actually dangerous would be a good update. Oh another great thing. The 3rd wingman. We need to hear more of her, some of the banter back and forth was actually funny.
The things I dont like: The AI is good at evading but terrible at engaging. We need to see the AI try some gun kills. More on the AI: mother ships seems to spiral to their deaths but dont die after you take out a wing. Since its technically only the AA guns that get damaged the should remain flyable until we take out an engine or a whole wing. If your intention is to take out a wing dont add that too the bosses please. We should need to hit every vital spot on those monsters to make them drop out the sky. Last thing the models for the tanks seem to either keep driving on after they have been blown up. Either that or they have been launched into the air for miles hugging the ground either way seems a bit buggy.
honest rating for a fully developed game id say your at a solid 6 right now.For an alpha your at 9/10 best alpha Ive played. please keep it up.
I've tried v0.4, almost all settings are low, except effects and texture (because if those are low, the explosion effects will be squared lol), resolution 1024 x 768, and I've got around 16-24 FPS, unfortunately, there's still camera stuttering which pretty annoying (and it happened since Alpha 4 version).
This game should be optimized further, and running more smoothly, that's what I really hoped for.
you're on a garbage laptop. How on earth could you possibly say the game needs more optimization when you're running it on a DUAL CORE laptop? Come on man. For an alpha it's VERY optimized, allow me to provide some proof with all settings as high as they go.. Ryzen 1600 + Vega 56.
as I expected somebody would say my laptop is garbage, that's fine, I'm not a wealthy people too. And its CPU is not Dual Core, it's Quad Core, I've already checked it on dxdiag
And the way I see your specs has Ryzen, which is sound even too powerful to me, I don't have much money to afford new laptops you know, I just hoping the dev. Optimize the game so that lower specs could run it, that is all, if the things aren't going even well, it's ok.
Hey, just played the desert mission and LOVE it. it has been such a long time since a game has made me smile the moment I start playing:)
But a bug that might need fixing is how when you enter the final phase of the mission (Operation Blackout) and the two HVT Anuras show up, one of them embeds its wing into the ground and flies in a circle, never rising out of it making the mission un-beatible think it can be rectified? sorry to bother ya if it has been fixed as of posting:(
Love the new control GUI. I noticed the view X and view Y seem to be backward from the binding.\
Edit: After more testing the binding gets set correctly (hat moved left binds to x axis left) but the visual display shows the binding backwards (hat moved left shows x axis moved right).

First of all. masterful game, i was even testing speed just to see if there was a vapor cone in the sound barrier and i am glad i found it. but despite knowing that this is an early build i must ask for the f22, f35, su57 and the chengdu j20. i know the former will be eventually added but the j20 is the most important since i know that ace combat will never have a chinese aircraft (dont know why) and the only place where i can fly it is in bf4, not even fsx has a proper one
I love this game and will be backing it heavily when it hits KS. I'm currently using a XBox controller while my Saitek X52 Pro comes in the mail and I have the Right Stick mapped as view control. When I view from exterior the sensitivity is extremely high, making it near impossible to track targets, but when I view HUD only or in cockpit, the sensitivity seems normal, allowing for me to track targets well. Is this sensitivity change normal?

And a great idea for this game will be to make a cooperative campaing and multiplayer servers to play one to one with your private squad some like one to one, teams of two players and squad vs squad will be super interesting this one for competitive carreer.

in my case the game seems like don't detect the joystick controller only detects Playstation and Xbox controllers :( the game looks awesome by the way.
mine works fine, you have to switch the mode to joystick though.

I should say mine works fine, but when relaunching the game I need to rebind the joystick. The old bindings show "Joystick X52..." but when rebound show "X52 PROFESSIONAL...".
Add a survival (enemy waves) and a free flight mode (just plain flying and landing and taking off). and fix brightness when go fullscreen, somehow it gets darker
The default keyboard and mouse controls are fantastic. I didn't even look at the control mappings and the controls were exactly where I expected them to be, only took 30 seconds to get the hang of really. It's very rare that you find a flying game with GOOD keyboard and mouse controls. Of course using a gamepad is the way to play the game, if you don't have one, you're not missing out much by using keyboard and mouse controls. I was able to get machine gun kills easily enough.
Wow . Flabbergasted , i did not expect this when downloading it.
Ive been a huge fan of flight sims and more arcade ace combat games and theres just no other way to say it , This just has it.
With It i mean the thing i cant find in most games now , that feeling of getting drawn in by the gameplay from the start , forgetting what you were doing beforehand and well , just enjoying a game.
I can only hope the best for you and the game in the future ,

Open the downloaded game folder
Navigate to Engine\Extras\Redist\en-us
Then install the UE4Prereq setup

Not unbeatable.... if you equip bombs the area of explosion actually reaches..... but yeah- not the intended method.

What planes are you planning to add? Please add a MiG-29 and a MiG-21.And are there plans for a co-op mod or multiplayer, or a campaign?
There's no "set" list of aircraft to add just yet. I'll add them as I go along depending if its appropriate for the game or not.
There are plans for a campaign, but multiplayer and co-op is not in our scopes right now.

If multiplayer is a function of server cost, I'd happy subscribe for a few dollars a month. Alternatively, I'd be happy to pay a larger amount once.
